B. Ollon rite at Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM - Betty Lou Ollon, 68, a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua since February, died Wednesday, June 21, 1989, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham with the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery at Ottumwa. Friends may call at their convenience at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to the American Cancer Fund, the Birmingham Public Library and the Good Samaritan Center.

Mrs. Ollon was born Nov. 21, 1920, at Stockport, the daughter of George W. and Jennie Wise Edwards. She graduated from Stockport High School and attended Parsons College. She lived in Oskaloosa and Wright, before moving to Birmingham in 1971. She had worked as a nurse's aide at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield and Van Buren County Hospital. She was a member of United Methodist Women of Birmingham. She married Delbert Ollon Nov. 25, 1961, at Memphis, Mo. He died in March 1971.

Surviving are a sister, Pauline Crawford of Birmingham, a nephew, two grandnieces and several cousins.
