Ruth Rehm

Ruth C. Rehm, 87, of Burlington died Sept. 14, 1989, at her home.

She was born Jan. 22, 1902, in Burlington to John and Dora Miller Mewes. She was a dietitian at Klein Memorial Hospital for 10 years and member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Burlington and the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She married Henry A. Rehm Jr. on July 12, 1922, in Burlington. He died in 1978.

She is survived by a son, Warren "Shorty" of Cantril; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter Mewes of Burlington; and three sisters, Margaret Schrader of Denmark, Dorothy Pfadenhauer and Gertrude Stevens of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by a son.

The service was held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, 1989 at King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison, the Rev. Darryl Bockting officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Fort Madison.

Memorials have been established to the Ladies Aid Society of her church.
