Cyrena Marjorie Cunningham

Cyrena Marjorie Cunningham McLeland, age 90, of Memphis, Mo. formerly of the Cantril and Milton area died Friday, Dec. 22 at the Scotland County memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Marjorie was born Oct. 25, 1899 in Lima, New York, daughter of Dr. Alexander Sloan and Mary McLaury. On June 27, 1925 she married J. Lee Cunningham. He passed May 1961.

She married Roy McLeland Sept. 1962. He died June, 1982. She was preceded in death by one infant son, Donald Gene Cunningham, her parents and a brother.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Lee Cunningham of Woodward, Iowa and Clarence (Sug) Cunningham of Memphis, Mo., four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Marjorie was a graduate of Pella High School and the University of Iowa. She was a teacher in the Albia and Cantril schools. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years.

Services were Tuesday, Dec. 25, 1989 at the Payne-Gerth Funeral Chapel in Memphis, Mo. Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril.
