Sinclair graveside rite set

KEOSAUQUA - The graveside rite for Margaret E. Sinclair, 82, Keosauqua, who died Monday, March 27, 1989, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Fordyce Cemetery southwest of Stockport with the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. The body was cremated. Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Sinclair was born May 6, 1906, near Stockport, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Clark Silver. She graduated from Stockport High School as valedictorian with the class of 1925, graduated from Parsons College and University of Iowa and earned a master's degree at Purdue University. She taught school in several Iowa locations and many years in Lafayette, Ind. She was a member of the Presbyterian church in Lafayette. She married George Sinclair Aug. 1, 1947, in Lafayette, where they lived until moving to Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua in 1985. He died in 1987. A brother, John Silver, also preceded her in death.

Surviving are a brother, Richard F. Silver of Monte Sereno, Calif., three nephews and three nieces.

Margaret Sinclair

Margaret E. Sinclair, 82, of Van Buren County Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua died there March 27, 1989.

She graduated from Stockport High School in 1925 and was a graduate of Parsons College in Fairfield and the University of Iowa, and earned a master's degree at Purdue University of Lafayette, Ind. She taught school in several Iowa locations and many years in Lafayette. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Lafayette, she married George Sinclair on August 1, 1947, in Lafayette, where they lived until moving to the Good Samaritan Center in 1985. He died in 1987.

She is survived by a brother, Richard F. Silver of Monte Sereno, California.

The body has been cremated.

Graveside services and internment will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 1989, in Fordyce Cemetery on the Silver family farm southwest of Stockport, the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating.

Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua is in charge of arrangements.
