Elsie Huff

Elsie Mae Huff, 68, of Keosauqua died at 4:30 p.m. January 29, 1989, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center.

She was born May 22, 1920, in Bonaparte to George and Ethel Eahart Carnahan. She graduated from Keosauqua High School and had lived most of her life in Keosauqua. She was a resident of Good Samaritan since 1972. She was a member of Lynds Chapter Order of Eastern Star and Beer-Barker American Legion Auxiliary of Keosauqua.

She is survived by a son, Jeff of Orangeville, Calif.; a daughter, Pamela Coleman of Cummings, Ga.; a granddaughter; a sister, Cecile Abraham of Fairfield.

Also surviving is a nephew, Bruce Ross of Fairfield.

The service was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial was in Fellows Cemetery in Keosauqua.

A memorial has been established to Van Buren Good Samaritan Van Fund.
