Stella Fine

Stella Fine, Farmington, Iowa, died at 7 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 1989 at the Donnellson Manor Care Center. She was 100 years old.

Mrs. Fine was born January 5, 1889 in Farmington and was a lifelong resident of the community.

On December 29, 1907 at Mt. Sterling, she was married to J.C. Fine, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Harold and Lester, both of Farmington; two daughters, Marjorie Rippenkroeger and Mrs. Harold (Darlene) Luckett, both of Fort Madison; a brother, Byron Muntz, Bonaparte; two sisters, Grace Troutman and Arlene Millmeyer, both of Farmington; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, a sister and a grandchild. Her parents were Fred and Leona House Muntz.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 1989 at Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington with Robert Hambright officiating. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington.

A memorial is being established with the Farmington EMt unit. Contributions may be made at the funeral home.
