Paul J. Rings

Paul J. Rings, 67, of Farmington, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 1989 at Fort Madison Community Hospital.

Born January 1, 1922, in Donnellson, he was the son of Arthur and Mary Schmidt Rings. He married Mary Louise Dunismore June 28, 1950, in Farmington.

He was employed with the Iowa Army Ammunitions Plant before retiring. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Farmington, the Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge No. 24, and the Richardson-Anthony American Legion Post No. 231. He was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Farmington; one sister, Edith Watson, West Burlington; and two brothers, Olin Rings, Fort Madison, and Dale Rings, Star City, Saskatchewan, Canada.

The service for Mr. Rings was held Tuesday, August 1, 1989 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington with the Rev. Fred Malone officiating. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery, Farmington.

A memorial for the Farmington Emergency Medical Training has been established.
