Cyernia Marjorie McLeland

MILTON - Cyernia Mrjoie(err) Cunningham McLeland, 90, of Memphis, formerly of Cantril and Milton, Iowa, died at noon on Dec. 22, in the Scotland County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 25, 1899, in Lima, N.Y., the daughter of Dr. Alexander and Mary McClurely Sloan. She married J. Cunningham on June 27, 1925, in Cantril. He preceded her in death in 1961. She then married Ray McLeland in 1962. He preceded her in death in 1982.

She taught school for many years and was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her sons, Robert Lee Cunningham of Woodward, Iowa, and Clarence "Sug" Cunningham of Memphis, Mo.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a son and a brother.

Services were held today at the Payne-Gerth Chapel in Memphis.

Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril.

Memorials may be made to the All Timers Fund.

Payne-Gerth Chapel in Memphis was in charge of arrangements.
