Elizabeth Newenhouse

Elizabeth Newenhouse, 71, of Oskaloosa died January 8, 1988 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

She was born June 1, 1916 in Van Buren County to Jacob G. and Anna DeJong Newenhouse. She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Oskaloosa.

She is survived by four brothers, Chris of Lansing, Illinois and John, Jake and Neal of Oskaloosa; four sisters, Cathrine Karburg of Park Rapids, Minnesota, Anna DeHeer of Leighton, Cora Sluis of Pipestone, Minnesota and Mary Van Wyk of Oskaloosa.

The service was held Tuesday, January 12, 1988 at First Christian Reformed Church in Oskaloosa with the Reverend Henry Erffmeyer officiating. Burial was in Cedar Township Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Garland - Van Arkel - Langkamp Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa was in charge of arrangements.
