Glen O. Ware, 83, Donnellson, died at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 1988 at Fort Madison Community Hospital.
Mr. Ware was born February 26, 1904 in rural Farmington. A retired farmer, he moved from rural Farmington to Donnellson in 1979. He was a director of the Peoples Mutual Insurance Association of Donnellson.
On February 26, 1937 at Kahoka, Missouri, he married Stella Derr, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Glen W. Ware, Spokane, Washington; three daughters, Jean Frueh, Donnellson, Mrs. David (Glenda) Townsend, Farmington, and Mrs. Bill (Lois) White, Wever; a sister, Trilby Gaston, Donnellson; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and a sister. His parents were Granville and Rena Chapman Ware.
Services were held Saturday, January 16, 1988 at 10:30 a.m. at Hofbauer Funeral Home, Donnellson with Reverend Kenneth Harden officiating. Burial was in Embury Cemetery at Argyle.
Memorials are being established with the Embury United Methodist Church and the Donnellson Fire Department.
