Wanda Parcell

Wanda Mae Parcell, 59, of Birmingham died at 10:20 a.m. Jan. 17, 1988, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

She was born April 4, 1928, near Kirksville, Mo., to Glen and Mabel Shoemaker Miller. She attended school in Ainsworth and was employed by Winga's in Washington, Iowa, and by Woody's in Fairfield for 20 years. She married Clifford Parcell April 22, 1951, in Washington.

She is survived by her husband; a son, John of North Liberty; two brothers, Roy Dean Miller of Wayland and Lewis Miller of Columbus Junction; and two sisters Wilma Craig of Washington and Betty Hixson of Columbus Junction.

The service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1988 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Burial was in Clay Cemetery, near Brighton.

Memorials have been established to American Diabetes Association.
