Everett J. Blair

Everett J. Blair, son of Frank and Sarah Cowles Blair, was born December 13, 1915 at Milton and died Monday morning, February 8, 1988 in Desert Samaritan Hospital, Mesa, Arizona at the age of 72.

He married Martha L. Beggs August 6, 1939 in Bloomfield. They farmed south of Cantril until retiring to town.

Surviving are his wife, Martha; one son, James E. Blair of Burlington; one sister, Helen Courter of Winfield. A brother Robert, preceded him in death.

Everett was a member of First Christian Church in Memphis, Missouri.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 12, 1988 at 11 a.m. in First Christian Church, Memphis with Reverend Kenneth Campbell and Reverend Seth Wortman officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril. A memorial was established for his church. Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, was in charge of arrangements.
