Harry L. Cass

Harry L. Cass, 74, Bonaparte, died at 5:52 a.m. Sunday, February 21, 1988 at University Hospitals, Iowa City.

Mr. Cass was born March 11, 1913 in rural Bonaparte. He had lived in Bonaparte 50 years. He was a retired employee of Valley Limestone Co. of Farmington with 32 years of service.

On July 8, 1937, at Fort Madison, he married Leda Parker, who survives.

Also surviving are two brothers, Warren Cass, Bonaparte, and Vern Cass, Birmingham, and two sisters, Lucille Weller and Dorothy Snodgrass, both of Keosauqua.

He was preceded in death by two sisters. His parents were Carl and Blanche Alexander Cass.

Services were held at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington Wednesday, February 24, 1988. Pastor Bob Dodds officiated. Burial was in Bonaparte Cemetery.

A memorial is being established with the Bonaparte First Responders.
