Lloyd (Pete) Madden

Lloyd (Pete) Madden, 77, Farmington, died Thursday, December 18, 1986, at 11:57 a.m. at Van Buren County Hospital at Keosauqua.

Mr. Madden was born April 29, 1909 at Mt. Sterling and was a retired farmer and had driven a bus for the Van Buren County Schools for 29 years.

On May 15, 1929, at Keosauqua, he married Thelma Merrick, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Gene Madden of Donnellson; a daughter, Mrs. Carl (JoAnne) Jemison of Schofield, Wisconsin; a sister, Myrtle Cox, Oildale, California; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, a grandson, a brother and a sister. His parents were William Grace Lee Madden.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 21 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington with Rev. James Rozendaal officiating. Burial was in the Harness Cemetery, Mt. Sterling.
