William J. Clouse, 72, of Albia, Iowa, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
He was born in Brazil, Iowa and had moved to Albia from Des Moines four years ago. He was retired from the Butler Paper Company and was a member of the Capitol Christian Church in Des Moines and the First Christian Church in Albia. He had served as deacon of both churches.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn of Albia; daughters JoAnn Coop of Albia, Sharon Starr and Judy Hagmeier of Keokuk, and Lois Johnson of Farmington; son Don of Des Moines; brothers John Clouse of Golden, Colo. and Paul Fegley of Des Moines; sister Marie Pickell of California; 27 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, John Clouse and Dareld Huntley; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Des Moines.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Aliba.
