Loy Small

Loy Small, 96, of Donnellson died at 4:15 a.m. Sept, Eo, 1987, at the Keokuk Area Hospital.

He was born March 31, 1891, in Anaconda, Mont., to Frank and Anna Malvina Hootman Small. He was a farmer in Van Buren County, and had operated a maintainer for the Van Buren County maintenance unit. He was a janitor for the Birmingham Presbyterian Church after his retirement. He was an Army veteran of World War I.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 1987 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham. The Birmingham American Legion was in charge of military services at the grave.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield was in charge of arrangements.
