Hazel N. Bye

Hazel N. Bye, 91, of the King's Daughters Home, Fort Madison, died Monday, Nov. 2, 1987, at the home.

Born June 22, 1896, in Clark County, Mo., she was the daughter of George W. and Anna Belle Bogue Nye. On June 9, 1914, in Fort Madison, she married William A. Bye. He died in 1971.

She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientists of which she was a first reader and practitioner. She was a member of the Eastern Stara and King's Daughters.

Surviving are three sons, Bob Bye and Larry Bye, both of Fort Madison, and Garry Bye, Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Hope (Sam) Spray, Hillsboro, and Mrs. Margaret (Tom) Vice, Wever; one sister, Fern Younk, Fort Madison; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call as they desire at the King-Lynk Funeral Home, Fort Madison, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight.

The service for Mrs. Bye will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the King-Lynk Funeral Home with Ruth Yodder, first reader of the First Church of Christ Scientist, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison.

A memorial has been established for the First Church of Christ Scientist.
