Lawrence Klodt

MILTON - Lawrence V. Klodt, 69, of Milton, died Oct. 9, 1987, at the Bloomfield Care Center.

He was born Aug. 22, 1918, in Van Buren County to George A. and Emma Rose Birchmier Klodt. He married June Hallowell Aug. 28, 1942, in Oklahoma City. He was a trustee of Union Township, a dealer for DeKalb Seed, a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church of Bloomfield and a U.S Army veteran, having served in World War II.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Christine of Milton; and a brother, Clarence of Milton. He was preceded in death by a son, Myron George, in 1950.

The service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Priester Funeral Chapel in Bloomfield, the Rev. Wilkening officiating. Burial will be in Eldon Cemetery.

The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.

Visitation is open at the funeral home.

Memorials have been established to the Bloomfield Care Center activity fund and the Cancer Research Center in Iowa City.
