W.T. (Therm) Roberts

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist Church for longtime Powell building contractor, W.R. (Therm) Roberts, who died of natural causes early Sunday, Dec. 6 at his home in Powell, Wyo. He was 82.

The Rev. David Donkle will officiate at the services. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Roberts was born Feb. 17, 1905, at Cantril, Iowa, son of Monte T. and Maude Roberts. He graduated from high school in Cantril in 1922 and attended Iowa State College for one year.

He married Mina B. Bricker on Nov. 29, 29, 1924, at Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The couple moved to southern Wyoming where he worked as a carpenter until moving to Powell in 1943 where he established his own general contracting business. He owned and operated Roberts Construction Co. until his retirement in 1968.

Mr. Roberts enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of Powell, two sons, Dean of Powell and Dale of Escondido, Calif., a daughter, Mrs. Dick (Joan) Mercer of Lavina, Mont., 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
