Hazel N. Bye

Services for Hazel N. Bye, 91, a resident of the Kings' Daughters Home, 2603 Ave. G, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the King-Lynk Funeral Home. First Reader Ruth Yoder will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Mrs. Bye died unexpectedly early Monday morning, Nov. 2, at the Kings' Daughters Home.

She was born June 22, 1896, in Clark County, Mo. She was a first reader and practitioner in the First Church of Christ Scientist and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Kings' Daughters Union.

On June 9, 1914, in Fort Madison, she was married to William A. Bye, who died in 1971.

Surviving are three sons, Bob Bye and Larry Bye, both of Fort Madison, and Garry Bye, Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Sam (Hope) Spray, Hillsboro, and Mrs. Tom (Margaret) Vice, Wever; a sister, Fern Younk, For Madison; 18 grandchildren and 27 grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and a sister. Her parents were George and Annabelle Bogue Nye.

Friends may call as they desire at the King-Lynk Funeral Home where the family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today.

A memorial is being established with the First Church of Christ Scientist. Contributions may be made at the King-Lynk Funeral Home.
