Warda L. Humble

Warda L. Humble, 78, of Keosauqua, died at 2:50 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Bloomfield Care Center, Bloomfield.

Born Dec. 23, 1907, in Wapello County, she was the daughter of Chester and Elsie Hornbeck Morrow. She married Clyde Humble; he died in 1975.

She grew up in Wapello County, lived in Bettendorf and had lived in Van Buren County since 1943. She had worked as a nurses aide at Sunnyslope Care Center in Ottumwa and had cared for children in her home at Keosauqua. She was a member of the Keosauqua Christian Church.

Surviving are two sons, Jerry, Cantril, and Arthur, Zephyr Hills, Fla., a sister, Alice Clark, Tucson, Ariz.; and six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at their convenience at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.

Services for Mrs. Humble will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Keosauqua Christian Church with the Rev. Bob Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Fellows Cemetery, Keosauqua.

A memorial has been established for the Happy Day Express Day Care Center. Contributions may be left at the funeral home.
