John H. Westercamp

Final rites for John H. Westercamp, 82, Route 2, Keosauqua, Iowa were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 1986 at the United Methodist Church in Farmington.

The Rev. James Rozendaal and Bro. Robert Butt officiated. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery, Farmington.

Mr. Westercamp died at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 1986 at University Hospitals, Iowa City.

He was born October 4, 1904 in Marion County, Iowa and had lived in the Bonaparte area since 1938. He was a retired farmer and was a 50-year member of Workman Masonic Lodge No. 634 of Stockport.

Also surviving are seven sons, Hubert of San Jose, California, Charles and La Verne, both of Farmington, Rex and David, both of Mt. Sterling, Max of Bonaparte, and Marvin of Keosauqua; four daughters, Velma Caston, Burlington, Vivian Kreiss and Joyce Keller, both of Fairfield, and Audrey Caston, Washington; two brothers, Lewis Westercamp, Sigourney and Fred Westercamp, Keosauqua; five sisters, Alice Storm, Keswick, Jane Gottberg, Fairfield, Mabel Hollingsworth, Indianola, Harriet Woepking, Mt. Pleasant, and Carie Gregory, Keosauqua; 42 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters in infancy, two brothers, a sister and a great-grandchild.

His parents were Herman and Minnie Roekel Westercamp.

Hofbauer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Masonic rites were conducted at graveside.
