BLOOMFIELD - Paul Dean "Pete" Burdett, 58, of Bloomfield Route 4 died Nov. 15, 1986.

He was born Nov. 20, 1929, in Van Buren County to Harry Glen and Nellie Elizabeth Sloan Burdett. He married Pauline Smith Oct. 25, 1947, in Ottumwa. He was a member of Eagles Club in Ottumwa; Veterans of Foreign War in Ottumwa; American Legion in Bloomfield; and Moose Lodge in Kirksville, Mo. He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Colleen Hootman of Bloomfield; a son, Doran of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, David of Ottumwa; three half-sisters, Helen Williams and Myrtle Jones of Bloomfield and Judy Steele of Blakesburg; and three half-brothers, Sanford of Fitzwilliam, N.H., and Donald and Rex of Bloomfield.

The service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Priester's Funeral Chapel in Bloomfield, Kramer Smith officiating.

Burial with military rites, will be in Blakesburg Cemetery.

Visitation is open at the funeral home with the casket closed at the beginning of the service.

Memorials have been established to Drakesville Avenue of Flags.
