RUMP, BICKEL, CORNWELL

Mrs. Maurice Rump

Mrs. Beulah M. Rump, 61, of 107 S. Adella St., died at 11:40 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Hospital. She had been in failing health for six years.

The daughter of William and Cora Bickel, she was born May 30, 1909 at Pulaski and had lived in Ottumwa for 30 years.

She was a member of the National Rural Mail carriers Auxiliary, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters and St. Joseph's Hospital Guild.

She was married to Maurice Rump, Oct. 21, 1929 at Bloomfield. He survives.

Also surviving are a son, Maurice G. Rump of Ottumwa; a daughter, Mrs. Teresa Cornwell of Des Moines; two brothers Ormel Bickel of Milton and Marvin Bickel of Albia and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Church, The Rev. Denis Cahalan will celebrate a Requiem Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Lawrence Bates, Marion Bissell, James Davidsaver, Fred Genochio, Pearl Ludwick and Robert Tierney.

Members of St. Patrick's Parish and friends will meet Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Traul Funeral Home to recite the Rosary.
