Sylvia Rudd

Sylvia Rudd, 84, died at 11:50 a.m. Monday at the Davis County Hospital.

A housewife, she was born to Charley Davis and Anna Turnbull in Abington on Aug. 15, 1895. She had been a resident of Pulaski for 35 years and was a member of the Pulaski United Methodist Church.

She married Glen Grant on Sept. 6, 1913 in Davis County. He preceded her in death. She married Dell Bollman who preceded her in death in 1952. She married John Rudd who died in 1974.

She is survived by one daughter, Marguerite Grinstead of Ottumwa; one brother, Varold Davis of Douds; and four stepsons, Cargile Bollman of Bloomfield, Herbert Bollman of Davenport, Don Rudd of Minnesota and Robert Rudd of Florida. Other survivors include one stepdaughter, Lucille Luko of Pulaski; one grandson; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Wagler Funeral Home with Rev. J.C. Leonard officiating. Interment will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Abington.

Visitation will be at the Wagler Funeral Home Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m.
