Judy Faber age 76 formerly of Rock Rapids, Iowa died Thursday, November 4, 2021, at her residence, Legacy Estates, in Lincoln, NE.

Visitation will take place Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 3:30 to 5:00 PM with a memorial service following the visitation.

A graveside service will take place Monday, November 8th at the Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids at 10:30 AM.

Memorial donations are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.

Judy Ann (Hansmann) Faber was born on December 27, 1944 to Elmer and Lila Hansmann in Hull, Iowa. She grew up in George, Iowa and graduated from George High School in 1963. On December 27, 1963 Judy was united in marriage to Harry Faber at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in George on her 19th birthday. They lived in George and she worked for Dr. H.H. Gessford. Then they moved to Rock Rapids, Iowa where together they raised two children, Gina and Brett. Judy worked at a variety of places including JC Penney, Rock Rapids Locker, Pizza Hut, Hy-Vee, Jubilee and Sunshine Foods. In 2017, Judy and Harry moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to be closer to their family.

Judy was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of George, Iowa and the First Reformed Church of Rock Rapids, Iowa. Judy enjoyed bragging about her grandkids, walking, shopping, movies, soap operas, music from the 60’s and working outside. Judy is especially known for her love of vanilla ice cream, knowing the latest weather forecast, and her strong work ethic.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Gina (Kelly) Heath of Lincoln, NE, son Brett (Stacie) Faber of Aurora, NE; 6 grandchildren, Zachary (Crystal) Heath, Kayla (Connor) Farrell, Alyssa Faber, Paige (Aaron) Vinkenberg, Lexie Faber and Dane Faber; 3 great grandchildren, Zoe, Jack and Zane Heath; brothers, Dennis (Ellen) Hansmann of George, IA, and Dale (Jennifer) Hansmann of Parkersburg, IA; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Faber, parents, Elmer Hansmann and Lila Hansmann and in-laws, William and Marie Faber.
