By telegram last Saturday a message was received here that in North Yakima, Wash., Our former fellow townsman Mr. Johannes Wayenberg, on Friday evening 23 March at 6 o'clock, As readers know, Mrs. Wayenberg suffering from cancer of the stomach. The deceased was 53 years old. At the age of about 7 or 8 he came with his parents from the Netherlands, who first settled in Wisconsin. They came here about 40 years ago. After being married to Miss Dena Hulshof over 28 years ago and being on the farm for a few years, they came to Sioux Center, and Mr. W. in partnership with his brother Henry in the implement business, so that he was one of the first business men of Sioux Center. About sixteen years ago, the deceased left with his family for North Yakima, Wash. His widow and four children, 2 daughters who are both married and two sons mourn his departure with the rest of the family. We express our gratitude to them in this painful loss.
