DEATH ENTERS ANOTHER HOME

Mrs. Frank Van Dieren Died Monday Afternoon
Was 43 Years Old and Leaves Husband and Five Children.--Funeral at Sioux Center Today

Mrs. Frank Van Dieren, a resident of this community for the past ten years, died shortly after 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Hawarden hospital following an acute attack of stomach trouble. Mrs. Van Dieren had been a sufferer for a year or more from pernicious anaemia and her strength gradually failed. Last Friday she was taken acutely ill with stomach trouble but was not removed to the hospital until Monday morning and her death occurred a few hours later.

Funeral services were held at the Van Dieren home at 11:30 this morning and at the Old Reformed church in Sioux Center at 2 o'clock this afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Vander Hoef of Sioux Center.

Johanna De Bulten was born in Holland Nov. 7, 1886, and died in Hawarden Dec. 16, 1929, at the age of 43 years, 1 month and 9 days. She grew to young womanhood in Holland where on Jan. 21, 1909, she was united in marriage with Frank Van Dieren. The family came to the United States in 1914, coming directly to Sioux Center, where they lived for five years. In 1919 they moved to a farm in Washington township, three miles east of Hawarden, where they resided until two years ago, when they moved onto a place two miles further east. Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Van Dieren, the eldest dying in Holland in infancy.

The surviving children, who with Mr. Van Dieren, are left to mourn the loss of a dutiful wife and mother, are Effie, aged 19; Fanny, aged 17; Gerrit, aged 14; Hattie, aged 12; and Fred, aged 10. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Ben De Bulten of Humboldt, S.D., besides her aged parents, three sisters and one brother in Holland.
