Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Van Dieren, 81, were held Friday, [April] 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cooperative Funeral Home with the Rev. W. C. Lamaine of Grand Rapids, Mich., officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Van Dieren died Wednesday, April 19, at the Sioux Center Community Hospital after a long illness.

The former Jennie Slothouber was born October 10, 1890 near Middleburg. She married John Post, Orange City, in 1918. He died in 1932. She married Frank Van Dieren of Rock Valley in 1936. He died in 1962. Mrs. Van Dieren lived in Wisconsin, South Dakota, Illinois and Sioux County.

She is survived by a daughter, Miss Henrietta Post, Sioux Center; four step-daughters, Mrs. Walter (Bertha) Enick of Racine, Wisc., Mrs. Arie J. (Effie) Voss and Mrs. Henry (Fannie) Kruid of Rock Valley and Mrs. Richard (Hattie) Willeins of Bonilla, S.D.; two stepsons, Jake Post of Smithville, Va., and Fred Van Dieren of Ireton; one brother, Gerrit Slothouber of Cambridge, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. A. K. Bailey of Sioux Falls; 25 step-grandchildren and 21 step-great grandchildren.
