From the Alton Democrat of Feb 21, 1903 Orange City news.
Cashier DeMots of the First National received word from Sioux Center Thursday of the sudden death Wednesday night of his brother Henry's little four year old son. Croup was the ailment.
(This was the son of Henry DeMots 1868 -1911 and Ella Beernink. Their children were - Maud 1893, William 1895, Gilbert 1898, Lawrence 1902 and Leona 1906. Gilbert was born 19 Oct 1898 and died 19 Feb 1903)
