Mrs. Catherine Foss died at the home of her daughter Mrs. J. F. Morris Wednesday aged seventy seven of general debility. Her son E. B. Foss and daughter Mrs. Salmon were at her bedside from LaPorte. Funeral services Friday.

(From the Cemetery Index Catherine Foss born 30 Mar 1826 died 18 Feb 1903, husband Bradley Foss born 29 Jul 1824 died 15 Jan 1904 both buried Ireton IA. His obit is in the Ireton Weekly Ledger of jan 22, 1904. Bradley's first wife was Elizabeth Gray 1831-1854 They had one son Elwin B. Foss. Bradley then married Catherine Quackenbush daughter of Abram Quackenbush and Delaney Wolf, they had three children Elizabeth 1857, Emma 1859 and Marvin 1864.)
