Last Rites For James Van Buskirk Will Be Today
Funeral services for James Le Roy Van Buskirk, 77, brother of Seward Van Buskirk of Ireton and the late Wm. Van Buskirk of Hawarden who died Monday at a Sioux City hospital following an illness of about three months, will be at 3:30 this afternoon (Thursday) at the Anderson Funeral home in Sioux City. Pallbearers will be six nephews, Rolland, William, Lester, Vernon and Raymond Van Buskirk and Kenneth Hudson.

Mr. Van Buskirk was born July 11, 1881, in Scott county, lA. He was a resident of rural Hawarden as a young man. He married Lily Jenkins of Akron and they farmed near Akron some time before moving to Sioux: City. After her death he remarried.

Survivors include the widow, Minnie; two daughters, Mrs. Cleo Thornburg of Chicago and Mrs ; Iris Poff of Copperhill, Va.; A brother, Seward; a sister, Mrs. A. J. Gamble of Sioux City, and seven grandchildren.
