EAGLE TOWNSHIP WOMAN DIES IN LEMARS HOSPITAL
Mrs. Titus Van Bruggen passed away early Monday morning at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Le Mars following a lingering illness. Mrs. Van Bruggen had been ill for some time with gall bladder trouble and physicians deemed that an operation would be necessary to effect a cure. However, her physical condition was such that it was necessary for her to first submit to treatment and she was given blood transfusions and every care known to medical science to no avail.

She leaves to mourn her passing from this life, her loving husband, and 10 children as follows: Henry, Cora, Dena, Wilson, Arie, Tracy, Alice, Josephine, Theodore and Albert. Two children, Arie and Alice have passed on. Also one granddaughter and The following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Ed Riepma of Ireton; Herman Slickers of Remsen; Albert Slickers of Grundy Center; John Slickers of Round Lake, Minnesota; Mrs. Gertie Jasper of Orange City; Mrs. Sena Shaferlee and Mrs. Reka Jerguson of Garvin, Iowa, all of whom were present at the funeral.

Deceased was born December 3, 1888 at Orange City, Iowa where she spent her young girlhood and received her early education. On February, 29,1908, she was united in marriage to Titus Van Bruggen at Orange City and for ten years they lived on farms in the Orange City and Maurice community. Thirteen years ago they moved to their present location in Eagle Township which has since been their home. She was a member of the Christian Reformed church, a kind and loving mother, a good friend and neighbor and the loss of this good woman will be keenly felt.

Funeral services were held Wednesday frc*n the Christian Reformed church with. Rev. J. R. Van Dyke in charge. The pallbearers were Richard Obbink, Albert Reinders, John Top, Sam Dyker, Gerrit Swears and Geo. Snyders. The remains were taken to Orange City and laid to rest in the family burial plot.
