Jennie Van Gronigen

Jennie Van Gronigen, 85, of Orange City died Monday, November 7, in Pleasant Acres Nursing Home in Hull. Services were Wednesday Nov 9 at Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City with the Rev. Don DeGlopper and the Rev. Gerrit Docter of Trinity Reformed Church officiating. Burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery in Alton.

Jennie was born on January 3, 1903, in Orange City, the daughter of Rein and Wilhelmina (Houtsma) Faber. She married Clarence Van Gronigen in 1924. The couple lived in Orange City. In June, of this year, they became residents of Orange City Municipal Nursing Home. He died September 21, at Orange City, and she was transferred to Pleasant Acres Nursing Home in Hull. She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church.

Survivors are a son and daughter in- law, Clarence Jr. and Karen Van Gronigen o f Canton, South Dakota; a grandson, Stacey Van Gronigen; a granddaughter, Sandra London; a great-grandson, Andrew London; two sisters, Florence Jacobsma of Hospers and Henrietta Faber of Orange City; and a brother, Raymond Faber of Orange City.
