JOHN VAN ENGEN
Funeral services for John Van Engen, a resident of the Pioneer Home since May, 1962, were held at the Van Etten Funeral Home, Thursday afternoon July 18 and at Adams, Neb., in the Presbyterian church. Interment was made at the Pelia, Neb., cemetery.

Mr. Van Engen was born at Pella, Neb., on May 2, 1886 and married Rose Kroese about 50 years ago and spent most of his life farming. Mrs. Van Engen passed away 15 years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Van Engen were the parents of two sons, one whom died in infancy. The other son. now Rev. Garold Van Engen, is a missionary in Chiapas, Mexico. Surviving besides the son are four grandchildren, Ronald and Bernice, who attend Northwestern College and Charles and Betty at home. Also six brothers and two sisters.
