HERMINA "MINNIE" VAN BOCHOVE

INTERMENT: Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley, Iowa
Hermina "Minnie" Van Bochove was born October 5, 1917 to Henry and Alice (Vande Hoef) Van Voorst in Sioux Center, IA. She married William "Bill" Van Bochove on February 20, 1941 near Sioux Center. Together they farmed northwest of Rock Valley until moving to Rock Valley in 1979. Minnie was a member of Netherlands Reformed Congregation, Hegg Memorial Auxiliary and volunteered at Valley Manor. She enjoyed needlework, gardening and especially her grandchildren. Minnie died Monday, May 31, 2004 at Valley Manor, Rock Valley, IA. She was 86 years of age.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Bill; sons: Henry (Janice) of Inwood, IA, Dennis (Paula) of Rock Valley; daughters: Emma Vlastuin of Worthington, MN, Adelene (Don) Vanden Berg of Lynden, WA, Arlis (Duane) Obbink of Rock Valley, Gladys (Eldon) Van Den Top of Rock Valley and Rhonda (Wayne) Vande Waerdt of Hull; 19 grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Jake (Freda) Van Voorst of Inwood and Gerrit H. (Jo) Van Voorst of Sioux Center, IA; sisters: Gertrude Van Beek of Sioux Center, Hattie (John) Rus of Corsica, SD, Marie (John) Bakker of Rock Valley and Priscilla (Jack) Dibbet of Sioux Center; sisters-in-law: Till Van Voorst and Dort Van Voorst of Sioux Center.
Hermina was preceded in death by her grandson, Derek Vanden Berg; son-in-law, Henry Vlastuin; brothers: John H. and Richard H. Van Voorst.
