JOHN HORN -LAKE WILSON, MINN.
Services for John Wesley Horn, 81, of Lake Wilson, Minn, were held Tuesday at
the United Methodist Church of Lake, Wilson. Pastor Larry Simmerman officiated.
Burial was at Hillside Cemetery, Lake Wilson. Mr. Horn died Oct. 20, 1984 at McKennon Hospital at Sioux Falls, S. D.
John Horn, the son of Joseph and Katie Gritters Horn, was born May 8, 1903 at Boyden. He grew up on a farm near Boyden. On Feb. 9, 1927 he was married to Nancy Van Roekel at Boyden. The couple farmed near Boyden until 1936 when they moved Minnesota and farmed near Slayton until moving to a farm in Cameron Twp. in Murray County, Minn., where they lived at the time of his death. Mr. Horn retiredfrom farming in 1965 Mrs. Horn died in 1976. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and was a 4-H Club leader and Farm Bureau member.
Survivors include a son, Harvey of Lake Wilson, Minn: and a daughter, Jean (Mrs. Don) Olson of Malta, Mont.; eight grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren;
a brother, Joe of Boyden; three sisters: Marie (Mrs. Richard) Doorenbos of Boyden, Minnie , (Mrs. Pete Vis) of Valley Springs, S.D., and Delia Scholten of Valley Springs, S.D.; a half-brother, George Horn of Boyden; a half-sister, Vina Harmon of Springfield, Ore.
