Tena Veldman
Tena Veldman, 87 years old, of Rock Valley, la.; formerly of Inwood, died Saturday at the Valley Manor Nursing Home of Rock Valley. Services will begin 10:30 a.m, Thursday, at the Christian Reformed Church of Inwood. The Rev. William Mpxey will be officiating. Burial will be at the Richland Cemetery of- Inwood. Visitation withrthe family present will be today, Wednesday from 7p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home of Inwood.

Tena Kooima was bom December 25, 1903 at Rock Valley, the daughter of Klass and Henrietta (Koning) Kooima. She married Henry Veldman December 17, 1924 at Inwood. .together they farmed near Inwood until retirement when they moved to Inwood.in 1963. She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Inwood including the Dorcas Society and past Girl's Society leader. Henry died March 16, 1976. Tena moved to the Valley Manor of Rock Valley, September 5,1984. Surviving relatives include her son, Gerald Veldman of Rock Valley; six daughters, Mrs. Everett (Hermina) Van Ginkel of Inwood, Mrs. John (Henrietta) Maassen of Lynden, Washington, Mrs. Eugene (Jean) Eisma of Inwood, Mrs. Bud (Eldora) Hoff of Gilbert, Arizona, Mrs. Alfred (Donna) Schepcl and Mrs. Nelson (Gert) De Jong, both of Rock Valley; a brother, Clarence Kooima of Hawardcn, IA; two sisters, Ann Spoolstra of South Holland, Illinois, and Mrs. John (Rolene) Vander Velde of Bcllflower, Calif.; 34 grandchildren and 43 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry, three grandchildren, Derek Eisma, Jill Hoff and Mark Hoff, three brothers, Fred Kooima, Simon Kooima and Jake Kooima.
