Funeral services: Tuesday, March 1, 2005, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Jacksonville, IA; Pastor Ron Rasmussen officiated. Burial was in the Jacksonville Cemetery in Jacksonville, IA.

Survived by: daughters, Beverly (spouse, Jim) Oleson of Bristol, IL, Deanna (spouse, Larry) Ruby of Marriottsville, MD, and Pamela (spouse, Wesley) Andersen of Kennard, NE; sons, Carol “Gene” Bramer and his friend, Gail Rosenberger, of Tampa, FL, and Raymond (spouse, Kathy) Bramer of Santa Rosa, CA; brother, Raymond Thogerson of Lebanon, OR; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends

Predeceased by: Parents, Jens Christian and Inger (nee Johnson) Thogerson; husband of 66 years, Day Raymond Bramer (deceased June 28, 2000); sisters, Marjorie Grosbeck, Frances Wigness, and Mena Burmeister; brothers, Nels Thogerson and Pastor Dolliver Thogerson

Education: attended Harlan Schools, and graduated from Harlan (IA) High School, Class of 1934

Marriage: Jan. 22, 1934, Day Raymond Bramer, Elk Point, SD

Employment: With her husband, farmed in Shelby County until they retired to Harlan in 1977

Hobbies/Interests: active member, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Jacksonville, IA, where she was very involved in the women’s circle. She was a strong supporter of the Danish Immigrant Museum. Eleanor helped at election polling sites for over 30 years. She enjoyed attending her high school reunions, and participated in helping plan many of them. Eleanor loved gardening, enjoyed drawing, traveling, and playing pinochle.
