Employment: After his high school graduation, Denny began working for Purina in Harlan, IA. Later, for many years he was employed by Burmeister Feed Store and Stowe Red-E-Mix in Harlan, IA.

Hobbies/Interests: Member, First United Methodist Church, Harlan, IA., where he had previously served on the Board of Trustees. Denny enjoyed watching Nascar racing, collecting Crayola items and toy trucks, and gardening flowers and tending his lawn. He had many fond memories of playing baseball as a child.
