Funeral services: Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Harlan, IA; Pastor Heather Ploen officiated. Burial was in the Harlan Cemetery in Harlan, IA.

Survivors: Sons, Gail (spouse, Marilyn) Schnack of Harlan, IA, and Gordon (spouse, Irene) Schnack of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law, Elaine Andersen of Kimballton, IA; 9 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends

Predeceased by: Parents, William and Hattie (nee Wendt) Burgin; husband of 50 years, Earle Schnack (deceased Nov. 21, 1984); brother, Raymond Burgin; son, Craig Schnack, in 2003

Education: attended school southwest of Walnut, IA

Religious affiliation: baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan, IA, on Nov. 23, 1941

Marriage: Earle Otto Schnack, Feb. 19, 1934, Harlan, IA

Employment: After leaving school, she was employed as a waitress in Walnut, IA; after meeting and then marrying Earle Schnack, they farmed until Earle started Schnack Electric in 1946. Lucille helped in the business even after Earle’s retirement in 1974, working for their son, who took it over. In 1989, the business was sold.

Hobbies/Interests: Long-time member, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan, IA. She liked to play Bingo, and strongly supported the new Harlan Senior Center and enjoyed activities there.
