Employment: In 1958, Jo worked at Variety Distributors in Harlan for a short time. From 1962 until 1990, she worked for Dr. Joe Spearing as a receptionist and nurse in his medical office; from 1990 until her retirement in April, 1994, Jo worked as a secretary at St. Michael’s School.

Hobbies/Interests: Member, St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Harlan, IA. She and Russ enjoyed making and selling ceramics at craft shows for over 15 years.
