Lester G. CONLEY, 72, of Rt. 2 Creston, Iowa died Thursday [May 6, 1981] at 2:35 pm of a heart attack at Greater Community Hospital, Creston, Iowa. Funeral services for Mr. CONLEY will be at 1 pm Sat. at the Coen-Beaty Funeral Home with Rev. Charles C. MULLER of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Knowlton [Centenary] Cemetery near Diagonal.
Mr. CONLEY was born Sept. 13, 1908 in Knowlton, Iowa to George and Anna (BLAKESLEY) CONLEY. He never married.
He was a retired farmhand and lived all his life in Ringgold and Union Counties, and several years at the Union County Home.
Surviving relatives include nieces and nephews including Lyle and Cecil WHITED. He was preceded in death by his parents and ten brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers were Weldon SWIGART, Alvin DAVENPORT, Dwight O'RILEY and Sam BEATY.
