MRS. EDGAR THOMPSON

Mrs. Edgar THOMPSON died at her home in Blockton Wednesday, January 17. The funeral services will be held at the Christian church in Blockton at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C. Max BUCK of Bedford.

Mrs. THOMPSON is survived by her husband, three sisters and one brother. She is also an aunt of Howard, Ward and Paul POORE of Bedford.

OBITUARY - MRS. EDGAR THOMPSON

Leona Eudora POLLEY, daughter of Edwin and Diantha POLLEY, was born in the State of Nebraska September 2, 1874 and died at her home in Blockton, Iowa Wednesday, January 17, 1940, at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 15 days.

At an early age she moved with her parents to the vicinity of Maloy, where she became the wife of Edgar THOMPSON, whose companion she was for forty-three years. They established their first home in Maloy and resided there eight years, when they moved to Blockton, which place had since been their home.

She is survived by her husband; three sisters, Cora TURNER of Denver, Colo., Minnie POORE of Clarinda, and Lula SKINNER of Maloy; and by one brother, Guy POLLEY of Maloy. Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death.

The funeral services were held at the Christian church in Blockton Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C. Max BUCKS of Bedford.
