Mrs. Cora Belle TAYLOR, wife of Mr. C. M. TAYLOR, died at her home in Poe township, Ringgold county, Iowa, after a long and severe illness, on Monday, February 13, 1899. Her maiden name was BOTTENFIELD and she was born in Keokuk county, Iowa, January 28, 1864. She had passed the thirty-fifth year of her life. She was married to Mr. TAYLOR June 30th 1889, at Gray, Iowa. She had lived for some time in Audubon county. She came to Ringgold county with her husband in 1893 and settled on their farm in Poe township. Here she made many friends among her neighbors. Mrs. TAYLOR had for many years been associated with the Christian church and was esteemed a sincere christian. In her long and trying sickness, the graces of the spirit, love, joy, peace, long suffering and submissin to God's good will, shined in her character. Expecting death and patiently waiting until the change came, she resolved all into God's good will, "Even so, Oh Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight." She was an affectionate wife and devoted mother. Mrs. TAYLOR leaves a husband and three children, two boys and a girl. Her death is a loss not alone to the family, but to the community. The funeral services took place from the Mt. Ayr Christian church. The pastor, Rev. Mr. WELLS led the same but her friend, Rev. F. D. SELLARDS, preached from Psalms 90:9 and the remains were buried in the Rose Hill cemetery.
