OBITUARY - MARY AGNES (SMALL) STINSON

July 21, 1922 - April 18, 2007

MITCHELL, IN -- Mary Agnes STINSON, 84, Mitchell, formerly of Freetown, died at 2:22 a.m. Wednesday at Bloomington Hospital.

A member of the Freetown United Methodist Church, Mrs. STINSON had worked various jobs throughout her life. She had been active in Jackson County Habitat for Humanity. She also loved to just "get out and go."

Born July 21, 1922, in Kellerton, Iowa, she was the daughter of Clyde Clifton and Effie Enola (LAIRD) SMALL. On September 20, 1946, in Indianapolis, she married Robert J. STINSON and he preceded her in death on March 23, 1986.

Survivors include four children: Robert A. (Carole) STINSON, Janice M. ELMORE and Joe (Nikki) STINSON, all of Mitchell, and Sandra WISCHMEIER of Seymour; one sister, Dorothy GLENN of Rolla, Mo.; eight grandchidren: Shelly MYERS, Robin (Forrest) WINTERS, Jason STINSON, Katherine STINSON, Kimberly BETZ, Ronald ELMORE, Casie (Misty) WISCHMEIER and Amanda (Wes) KONKLE; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one infant sister, Doris Marie SMALL; two infant brothers, Chester Marvin SMALL and Mervil Eugene SMALL; one brother, Meredith SMALL; one sister, Maxine NEW; one grandson, Robert A. STINSON Jr.; and a son-in-law, Donald WISCHMEIER.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown with Gerald SPEER officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity, Jackson County Chapter.
