OBITUARY - MRS. JOHN STEPHENS.
Martha Jane CAMPBELL was born in Monroe county, Iowa, October 19, 1852, and passed away at her home near Caledonia, Iowa, November 8, 1926, at the age of 74 years and 19 days.
She moved with her mother and sisters and brothers from Monroe county to Ringgold county in 1870.
On February 28, 1878, she was married to John STEPHENS who preceded her in death. Five children were born to this union - Albert, John G. and Mary J., who survive her; Roy and Earl, who preceded her in death.
She also leaves to mourn her death three brothers, Dan CAMPBELL and H. G. CAMPBELL, of Mount Ayr, Iowa, and Wm. J. CAMPBELL, of Grant City, Mo., three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 20, at the home in Lotts Creek township, by Rev. W. L. THORNBURG, of Mount Ayr. Interment was made in the cemetery at Caledonia.
