OBITUARY - DOROTHY LOUISE (SAVILLE) STEPHENS

1931 - 2007

Dorothy Louise (SAVILLE) STEPHENS, 73, passed away August 26, 2004, in Pueblo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Mamie SAVILLE of Redding, Iowa; grandson, Sammy HUGHS of Trenton, Mo.; brothers, Bob and Dick SAVILLE; and sister, Hazel NEWMAN.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of 55 years of Sam J. STEPHENS; beloved mother of Lela (Marion) HUGHS of Trenton, Mo., Ed (Donna) STEPHENS, Kathy (David) JOHNSON and Karen (Shaun) MARTIN, all of Pueblo; beloved sister of Mary CAVIN, Blockton, Iowa, and Frank (Cathy) SAVILLE of Deepwater, Mo. Also survived by grandchildren, Bradley (Bobbi), SHARMIN, Stacey (Jake), Brian (Cassie), Greg (Jessica), Kris (Joan), Becky, Abby, Shaynee, Jeffrey and Shannon; 11 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Dorothy thoroughly enjoyed her loving family, her quilting quillows for them, the Fidelity Chapter No. 144 of Eastern Star, traveling and "Buttons," her little poodle.

Mrs. STEPHENS will lie in state from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the Davis Mortuary. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2004, in the First Church of God, 528 W. Abriendo Ave., with the Rev. Danny BRYANT officiating. Interment will follow in the Imperial Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Johns Hopkins Hospital for pancreatic cancer research or to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice in Dorothy's name.
