REDDING NEWS.

Gone but not forgotten: Little Earl, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. STEPHENS living near Redding Iowa, February 13th, 1883 of tonsiletis. Another fond mothers hopes are blighted and another infant of two summers is forever silent.

"An angel with a radiant face,
Above a circle bent to look:
Seemed his own image there to trace,
As in the waters of a brook.
Dear child who we resemblest so,
It whispered, come O come with me;
Happy together let us go,
The earth unworthy is of thee."

NOTE: Earl R. STEPHENS was born in January of 1881, and was two years and 22 days at the time of his death. He was interred at Fairview Cemetery, Ringgold County. Earl's father John Ross STEPHENS was born June 23, 1854, and died March 10, 1917. His mother was Alice Ruth (ABARR) STEPHENS. They were interred at Fairview Cemetery.
