OBITUARY - LARRY STEEVE

1938 - 2006

Larry STEEVE, 65, of Sun Valley Lake, at Ellston, died September 24, 2005, upon arrival at Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 8, at Tingley Community Building. The Rev. Rick HAWKINS will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the Tingley Community Building. Memorials may be directed to Tingley meal site.

Mr. STEEVE, son of Edna (BRETHAUER) and Paul STEEVE, was born August 23, 1940, in Clarinda. He graduated from Clarinda High School. In June 1962, he married Linda DILL and later divorced. He worked as a pressman and printer in Des Moines for 35 years. He served on the Area XIV Agency on Aging advisory board and was past vice president of Iowa Aging Coalition.

Survivors include two sons, Richard (wife Shelly) STEEVE of Indianola and Darryl STEEVE of Ellston; sister Mary Ann SWANSON of Clarinda; brother Lyle (wife Pat) STEEVE of Corning; two grandchildren, Courtney and Paul STEEVE; former wife Linda STEEVE of Ankeny; companion Irma HUNTSMAN of Ellston; and sister-in-law Dora STEEVE and brother-in-law Jim WOLDRUFF, both of Clarinda.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jim and Ron STEEVE; four sisters, Marge HUSEMAN, Arlene WOLDRUFF, Evelyn KNIGHT and Ruth STEEVE; and two brothers-in-law, Omer SWANSON and Max HUSEMAN.
